Announcing Sea Breeze Film Festival 2010

What: Sea Breeze Film Festival

Where: Catherine Hickman Theatre – Gulfport, FL

When: Friday, July 23 – Sunday, July 25, 2010
2:00 pm – 11:00 pm each day.

Why: To bring independent, international films to the community that the region might not otherwise have the opportunity to see while helping filmmakers gain greater exposure for their films.

Sea Breeze Film Festival (SBFF) screens films of all lengths and genres from around the world. Large film distributors can rarely afford to take on smaller films. This creates a gap between small, independent films and their audience no matter how good the film is. SBFF’s goal is to ensure audiences in Tampa Bay have the opportunity to see films that would not otherwise be available to them!

The festival chose to hold the event at Gulfport’s Catherine Hickman Theater due to the location’s communal, artistic environment and vibe. There is plenty of indoor space to beat the heat, meet and mingle with fellow filmmakers and film lovers between films. This event is meant to expose local filmmakers to the works of fellow filmmakers from around the world as well as offering alternative films to the community. SBFF is hosted by Nomadic Tendencies.

Cost: $5 children, military, students and seniors; $7 regular ticket price; $12 day pass; $30 festival pass. Buy tickets early as seating is limited.
